What a surprise it would be to get the this invitation in the mail!:"This year’s State of the Union address will be on Tuesday, February 12, at 9:00 p.m. On behalf of the Speaker of the House, we would like to extend an invitation to you to view the address from the House Gallery. Prior to the address, the Speaker will be hosting a small reception in his Capitol office where his guests will receive their gallery ticket and be escorted to their seats by a member of our staff. The invitation to the reception is attached, it will be held in H-230, the Capitol, between 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Guests will be escorted to their seats in the House Gallery at 7:45 p.m., and camera’s will go live with pre-address coverage at approximately 8:30 p.m."Darke County’s own Darryl Mehaffie and Mrs. Mehaffie will be going to Washington D.C. to attend this exciting event. Mr. Mehaffie is a newly appointed member of the state school board; is a state committeeman for the GOP; and is active in many other service fields.
