State of the Heart Welcomes New Volunteers to Agency

State of the Heart Hospice recently completed an orientation at the agency’s Greenville office for new volunteers for the nonprofit agency. State of the Heart cares for patients and families in eastern Indiana and western Ohio who are confronting a life limiting illness. Volunteers help hospice staff by providing patient and family support. Volunteers can determine the number of hours they want to contribute. Pictured left to right: Lucas Hembree, of Mercer County, and Christine Rudy of Darke County, both student volunteers; Carolyn Hinshaw of Jay County, Ruth Wright of Darke County, Amy McCullah, Darke County, and Lillian “Jo” Leedom, Darke County. Beside her is State of the Heart Volunteer Manager Pauline Faller.

Volunteers are always needed. For information about volunteering, call Pauline at 548-2999. The agency also has offices in Coldwater and Portland.
