Arcanum Lion’s Host the Lonnie Norris Golf Scramble

The Arcanum Lion’s Club is opening the golf season on April 28ith by naming their annual golf outing the Lonnie Norris Memorial Golf Scramble being held at Stillwater Valley Golf Club located at 9235 Seibt Road, Bradford. Lonnis Norris, an active member of the Lion’s Club promoting the profits of the club to be returned to the community, worked to open the season with the golf outing each year.

The scramble is limited to 36 teams of 4. Cost per team of 4 is $220 and includes green fees, electric cart, sandwiches, chips and beverages. There will be 3 paid positions, Proximity Awards and Skins Game, Mulligans available. The day of the scramble, registration is 12:30 – 1:00 p.m., golfers’ meeting at 1:15 p.m. and shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Rain date for this event is May 5, 2013. Openings for team participation are still available. An application to enter your team is available by contacting Winston Brumbaugh at (937) 692-8084. Hurry, openings for the scramble are filling up fast. Entry and fee money is needed by April 21st to participate.

All profits from the golf scramble goes back to the Arcanum Lion’s Club to support the local community with scholarships, youth music programs, civic and school needs. The Arcanum Lion’s also work other projects to help fund Central Ohio Lion’s Eye Bank, seeing eye-dogs, glasses for those in need and many other projects.
