Today is a National Day of Prayer. As in years past, a gathering was held at the Greenville City Building at noon to mark the occasion. Many gathered at the event, which was sponsored by The Greater Greenville Ministerial Association in cooperation with Mayor Mike Bowers' Office.
Several speakers led prayers at the event, including State Representative Jim Buchy, Darke County Treasurer Scott Zumbrink, Mayor Mike Bowers, Dr. Jack Harless, Dave Knapp, Ryan Berry, Lisa Martin, Pastor Alan Knoke, Lauren Henry, Pastor John Monroe, and Jim Morehouse.
