Greenville Schools Foundation Awards Grants

The Greenville Schools Foundation would like to share with you the recipients of our 2013 grants. This year we were able to assist 6 deserving groups at three of our schools. First, our kindergarten students at Woodland Heights received eight new laptops. Thank you to Kindergarten teachers Stacy Ernst and Emily Bell for the great idea of introducing this hands on technology to our young students. Second, at the Junior High, we were able to provide the entire 7th grade with ipads to use in their language arts classes. Teachers Gwen Warvel, Andrea Colley, and Cheryl Karn will now be able to utilize their reading materials electronically. Imagine, no more lost books! At the Senior High, we contributed to the Vocal Music Department with a donation towards their risers. We supported the College Field Trip Program with a donation for their transportation to various colleges. We also made a donation towards the Spanish Class field trip, and a donation to the Med Tech Program for the purchase of 2 patient care simulators.
