A Guest Post from Randall Breaden in Support of Dave Ernst for Greenville City School Board

Guest posts are welcome and encouraged. If you have something to say and are able to do it in a respectful, reasonable way, send your piece to darkejournal@gmail.com. The contents of guest posts do not necessarily reflect the opinions of DarkeJournal.com.

I am a graduate of the Greenville City School System, and a life-long resident of this community. I have had a successful law practice in Greenville for over thirty years. I am supporting Dave Ernst for the Greenville City School Board.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dave Ernst for a number of years. Dave has always been deeply involved in his family and his children. Dave has been active in our community and the lives of a number of other children. He has coached a number of athletic teams, shaping not only the athletic skills of those children, but also building the character of the children he has had the pleasure of coaching. Dave has also served as a member of a number of community oriented boards. He strives to improve not only downtown Greenville, but also the Greenville City Schools, through his tireless work with the Greenville Athletic Boosters.

Dave is an independent thinker. He is not a politician. You will always know what Dave thinks on any given issue. He will carefully listen, and weigh the arguments of all sides, but he will always remain independent, choosing what is right in any given situation. He is not a follower, he is a leader. A person who is not afraid to do what is right and necessary to move Greenville City Schools towards a position of excellence. He will demand from all concerned, administration, teachers, students and parents, the steps necessary to establish Greenville City Schools as the premier school system in Darke County, Ohio.

In my opinion the Greenville City School Board has lost credibility with the public. The recent passage of the bond levy now presents the Board with an opportunity to move forward, to leave the past behind, and to take the steps necessary to move Greenville City Schools to a position of excellence. Dave is the right individual, at the right time to accomplish this goal.

When Dave advised me that he was running for the Greenville City School Board, I asked him why. His response tells you everything you need to know about Dave. "The reason very is simple, I can help so many more children by being a member of the Board, then I currently do now as a coach and a member of the Greenville Athletic Boosters."

Please join with me in electing Dave Ernst for Greenville City School Board.

Sincerely,

Randall E. Breaden
Greenville, OH
