On November 5th, Versailles Health Care Center and YMCA of Darke County welcomed David Zid, nationally known author and founder of Delay The Disease. Zid energized the audience of over 60 people at the YMCA of Darke County, Versailles Facility, presenting a program on Delay The Disease Through Exercise. His presentation was educational, inspirational, humorous, and interactive. Zid, the leading practitioner of exercise-based movement disorder programs, is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has been a professional fitness instructor in Columbus, Ohio since 1997. Certified as a personal functional fitness trainer, he is the owner and president of Columbus Health Works. He developed his Parkinson’s specific exercise programs as a result of his own interest in fitness for older adults. Since publishing his first book in 2007, he has made it his mission to make life better for people with Parkinson’s. His clients and class participants are living proof that, with the right attitude and exercise program, it is possible to DELAY THE DISEASE.
