Library Open House & a Movie
The Friends of the Greenville Public Library are again hosting a Holiday Open House on Saturday December 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Library. This annual event is always a festive and fun party for young and old. The “cookie table” is full of a wide variety of delicious treats with coffee and fruit punch. Santa & Mrs. Claus meet with kids to have their picture taken for free - and beautiful live music and Christmas decorations add to the holiday spirit.
The Friends of the Library promote literacy and support the Library in many ways throughout the year. Their used book sales and membership drive raise money which is used to fulfill Library needs - Children & Teen programs, equipment and furniture, and the popular Authors’ Nights each winter. They are a true blessing to the Library and thus to the community.
The Children’s Movie for December is the beloved “A Muppet Christmas Carol” starting at 2:00 p.m. on December 14th in the 3rd floor meeting room!
