Greenville BPW Club Celebrates Christmas!
The Christmas Committee of the Greenville Business & Professional Women’s (BPW) Club hosted the December 12th meeting at St. Clair Place on Third Street in downtown Greenville.
Deb Smith, Shirley Morrow, and Dara Buchy from the Christmas Committee planned the evening complete with an elegant, formal dinner. Christmas carols were sung by all members as they enjoyed the beautiful dining room.
The local BPW group collected items for the Domestic Violence Shelter for their community project. The items were presented to Annie Sonner from the center that was in attendance. The members also took up a special collection to purchase a huge doll house for the children to play with during their stay at the center.
At the conclusion of the evening Manor Host Mike Presnall offered a tour complete with the history of the mansion to all members.
The Greenville BPW Club’s mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. The Club holds fund raisers throughout the year to raise money to grant scholarships to the young women of Darke County. The Club meets the second Thursday of every month for a dinner meeting.
