ARLENE MANNING RETIRES FROM VHCC AFTER 25 YEARS

L to R: Jean Unger and Arlene Manning.
After 25 years working dependably at Versailles Health Care Center, Arlene Manning of Bradford, Ohio, recently retired. Manning joined Versailles Health Care Center in 1987 as a laundry aide and worked most of her years in laundry. For the last two years, she worked in housekeeping in the Special Care Unit. She commented that there have been a lot of changes over the last 25 years. “I’ve seen a lot of changes, but probably the biggest is how much the therapy department has grown, which I had to take advantage of two years ago.”

When asked about her time at Versailles Health Care Center, Manning said, “I will miss all of the residents and my co-workers. Thanks to everyone who helped make my years at Versailles Health Care Center enjoyable!” She and her husband, Earl, are the proud parents of two children, Amy and Jody. They have four grandchildren.

Manning said with a smile, “I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life, spending more time with relatives and friends, taking better care of myself, getting more use out of our pool table, and having more fun!”

A farewell carry-in luncheon was held by her co-workers at the health care center. Jean Unger, Director of Housekeeping and Laundry, said “We will miss Arlene. She was a hard worker and very devoted to Versailles Health Care Center. Congratulations Arlene!”
