As such, he is involved in organizing grassroots support for the passage of the Fair Tax legislation, and in conducting public education programs to increase public awareness of the advantages of the Fair Tax approach to taxation.
Curtis will be the featured speaker at the next regular meeting of the Darke County Republican Men’s Club. The group will be meeting at 8 a.m., February 15 at the Chestnut CafĂ© (formerly known as the “Staff Cafeteria”) of the Brethren Home Retirement Community. No reservations are necessary and the meeting is open to the public. A full breakfast is available for a $6 donation – if you want to have breakfast, it is suggested that you arrive early.
About the Fair Tax: The Fair Tax is a proposal to replace the current system of income taxation with a national retail sales tax on all new goods and services. Under this proposal, the Fair Tax would eliminate essentially all forms of income taxation, such as payroll, estate, capital gains, and alternative minimum, while maintaining the same level of government income. More importantly, it also eliminates business taxes, allowing American businesses to compete more effectively in domestic and foreign markets. Simply speaking, the Fair Tax may be the most important economic tool of the 21st Century.
Curtis is also President of Curtis Management Resources, LLC, a safety and environmental consulting group focusing on providing consulting and software services to area businesses and agencies. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, Mr. Curtis has more than thirty years of experience in industry and manufacturing, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, a Certified Safety Professional, and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.
