JoAnne Hill will start off a new summer program "Coffee and Conversation" sponsored by the Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Come, sit a spell, enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet roll while listing to JoAnne tell about growing up in Arcanum, always being at the family business, The John Smith Co. where she had responsibilities even at a very young age. As a teenager she volunteered as an air raid warden during WWII and later managed the John Smith Co. with her late husband Dave Hill. Following the closing of the store, Dave and JoAnne opened the Smith Antique Mall.
