Three Overnight Fires in Greenville Being Investigated as Arson

The City of Greenville Fire Department responded to a series of fires in and around detached garages in the early morning hours of June 3, 2014.

0144 hours – Dispatched to a fire behind 311 E. 4th St. One building destroyed and one damaged.

0333 hours – Dispatched to a fire behind 315 N. Main St. Materials adjacent to a detached garage burning.

0358 hours – Dispatched to a fire behind 108 Sweitzer St. One building destroyed and two damaged.

The fires are under investigation by the Greenville Police and Fire Departments and are considered to be arson. No damage estimate is available. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Eric Roberts at the Greenville Police Department at 548-4150.
