Now that spring is here, we can forget all about the cold winter and start enjoying the warm weather again! Need any ideas for your garden or yard? Come to the library to check out a book for help. How about starting that exercise program, or nutrition plan that you made a resolution to begin? We have plenty of books to show you how to get started.

The library has lots of activities going on this spring. We hope you can join us for one or more of them.

The storytime sessions for children of preschool age will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 22, and 29 at 10 and 11 am. Come hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft! The after school club, AfterWords, will meet on April 15th, and the 22nd after school until 4:45pm. Because of an early dismissal from school, there will be now AfterWords on the 29th. (There will be, however, a fun Trivia Day on that Wednesday. Read below for more information)

This Thursday, on April 16th, at 6:30 pm, AAA will be here to present their “Dare to Prepare” program. Come learn how to make sure new drivers, experienced drivers, and even cars are ready for the road. This is a free program and no registration is necessary.

Our movie of the month will be shown Saturday, April 18th at 10:00am. “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is the latest installment in the “Night at the Museum” movies. Popcorn will be served!

On Thursday, April 23rd, Miller Flowers will be here for their yearly presentation. Come hear about the newest plants, latest gardening ideas, and have your questions answered. There will also be plants available for purchase. This is a ticketed event, so please call the library or come in to get your name added to the list.

On Friday, April 24th, the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services will be here at 10 am to present a “digital upload” class. If you have ever wanted to know how to save, send, and retrieve digital files, this class is for you! This class is being offered free of charge.

On Wednesday, April 29th, the library will be hosting a Trivia Fun Day for kids after school. School lets out early that day, so the fun will begin at 12:30 and at 1:30, and will end at 3:00pm. Come test your knowledge, and stay for one or both sessions. Snacks will be provided!

Did you know that May 4th is designated as National Star Wars Day? Come in to check out your favorite Star Wars book or movie to enjoy, and may the “fourth” be with you!

Also in May is our annual book sale. Books will be available for sale upstairs at the library. The sale will run from Thursday, May 14th through Saturday, May 23rd.

As always, if you have any questions give us a call at 937-8484 or drop on in! Our hours are Monday – Thursday, 9-8, Fridays 9-5, and Saturdays 9-1.
