MVCTC Senior Spotlight – Morgan Ellis


Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) senior, Morgan Ellis a Dental Assisting student from Arcanum, will be using the Tech Prep Scholarship she earned at MVCTC to continue her education at Sinclair Community College in the fall. Morgan has already earned her license to be a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant (CODA) while attending MVCTC and is currently working at Hunter Dentistry. Her career goals are to become a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Morgan shared, “I came to MVCTC because I wanted to figure out if dental assisting could be a career for me. I love being a student at MVCTC because it makes me feel successful. I feel so far ahead of the game compared to other students my age. MVCTC has opened me up to so many new opportunities and has been the best choice I have ever made. It has prepared me by giving me the knowledge to pass my certification test that will help me get a job in the future.”

Morgan is the daughter of Todd and Karla Ellis of Arcanum.

For over 40-years, MVCTC has been providing career technical education for 27 partner school districts encompassing five counties in Southwest Ohio. MVCTC is dedicated to providing in-demand workforce training for youth, adults, and organizations in the Miami Valley.
