The Greenville Municipal Concert Band to present an Independence Day Celebration

The first concert of the Greenville Municipal Concert Band will take place this Sunday, July 5th at the Marling Band Shell in the beautiful Greenville City Park. The concert will start at 7 pm and will be conducted by JR Price.

This week, The Greenville Municipal Concert Band will perform music that celebrates this country's Independence Day. The band will feature two special performers for the evening. We are honored to have Ohio Representative Jim Buchy perform with us for the evening. Representative Buchy will narrate three historical speeches as the band performs the beautiful Abide with Me. As the band performs, Representative Buchy will narrate The Declaration of Independance, The Americans Creed and the Gettysburg Address.

Also performing with the band will be David McKibben. David is a graduate of Greenville Senior High School and an outstanding vocalist performing and conducting though out the Miami Valley. David will be singing America the Beautiful, God Bless America and the timeless God Bless the USA. We are pleased to have both David McKibben and Representative Buchy take part in our concert.

As always, the concerts are free and open to the public. We hope for you to bring your family and invite your friends to this celebration of Independence Day. Plenty of seating is available for our concerts but you may also bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, July 5th for our first concert in the park at 7 pm.
