  2. I wonder the same thing myself!! With the last death still unexplained my thought is that since neither were prominent citizens there is no big hurry!!

  3. To 12:39 PM - You are ignorant of the process. It has nothing to do with social standing of the victim. Investigations take time, labratory work takes time, and sometimes authorities know information but don't reveal it. There are times were details need to be keep secret to avoid compromising the investigation.

Real life isn't like CSI, or any of the other grossly inaccurate shows on TV. The recent cases are being addressed appropriately, professionally, in accordance with established standards, and information will be revealed to the public when it's time.

For such a small county of limited resources Darke County has a very impressive record solving murders. We of course don't know for sure that this is a murder case, but from the limited details it certainly sounds possible.

Patience people! Answers will come, and hopefully justice.

I agree with what you are saying but I have to wonder how a death a few days ago can be ruled a homicide and a death a few weeks ago is still up in the air.

  5. how about if the guy in the van was shot 3 times? that would be one way to rule on the one case before the other.

[btw, i don't know that the guy was shot 3 times, i'm just giving an example]

  6. When you call me ignorant you should first learn to spell!!!! Today marks 5 weeks since Mr. Bruners death and we still don`t know whether it`s safe to walk our streets in downtown Greenville! And i`m sure if someone of more social standing in the community were killed. It would be a priotity and not an afterthough!! And I know real isn`t like television but in real life there are 2 REAL dead bodies!!

  7. 10:51 - I find it funny that you critique me for 1 misspelled word and yet I find 6 mistakes in your comment (in addition to use of a tilde in place of an apostrophe).

Again, you are ignorant of the process. Ignorant simply means uninformed on uneducated, and I’m referring to a specific topic. I did not, and am not, calling you generally ignorant or stupid. I reiterate: Allow the professionals to do their job. This isn’t about social standing.

The cause of Mr. Bruner’s death is irrelevant in relation to your safety. A fight happened and he sustained injuries. He was assaulted and a victim of violent crime, even if his death wasn’t a result of the injuries. Bar fights happen downtown nearly every weekend. The streets should be considered no more or less safe as a result of this incident.

  8. Well, this has nothing to do with Darke County, but what ever happened to the Preble Co. Common Pleas Judge who was caught DUI? There has been no news since the reported arrest.

  9. For the life of me I cannot find the tilde in my comment. And as for your comment that Greenville has an impressive record solving murders, well maybe we need to ask the family of Denny Young about that. After almost 50 years in this community I think I know a thing or two about it. And if you think social standing is not a factor then you should really ask yourself who is uninformed or uneducated with the ways of Greenville. I really do not want to debate silly points of grammar either so I will leave it as I agree to disagree with you. Have a great day!!

  11. I know what a tilde is and there is non in my comments!!

  12. A back quote is still incorrect when contractions are supposed to have apostrophes.
