Ladybug Beautification Award

The Ladybug Garden Club and The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. has chosen Gary and Gail Benesh for the Residential Landscaping Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Design and Maintenance of their Residential Property and Community Beautification". Gary and Gail have lived at their present address, 107 Sandalwood Drive, Greenville, for five years.

The couple, having lived in the Versailles area for 32 years, purchased the lot two years before building their home. With each visit Gary hauled paver stone or rock, strategically placing it for a retaining wall around the deck and in the landscape. He placed seedlings in the yard to creatively form texture and form to the flowerbeds. They have planted roses, daylilies, perennial salvia, moss rose, heucheras, ornamental grasses, plus numerous other perennials in the existing tree area along with many shrub. They have accented in containers using soothing colors of pinks, corals and purples. The couple was nominated by their neighbor Nancy Hemer.
