The Village is happy to report that the Phase 3 sewer separation project is quickly coming to a close. This mean no more detours or road closers related to the sewer project. All detours and road closers should be gone by the middle of October and normal travel will resume. I’m sure you have already noticed most of the streets involved in the project have been resurfaced and are in better condition now than when the project started. The Village is aware that due to the dry summer most of the grass that was planted earlier in the year has been burnt up. The contractor will be responsible for coming back and restoring the yards. Restoration will either happen yet this year or next spring. From our businesses to each of our residents that have been affected by the sewer project, thank you for persevering and adapting through all of this.
On a side note: Street paving related to the sewer separation project has been completed and look for the detour to be gone by the middle of next week.

ReplyDeleteI love how the north end gets their streets paved immediately but it's been four years (at least) since they did Phase 1 on the south end and we are still waiting to have our streets paved. As for the yards....good luck with getting the contractor to make that right, either. They planted our grass and we never heard from them again. We had to take care of it ourselves. And while I'm complaining (lol) there are so many manholes on south Main and they are positioned just so you can't avoid them without swerving like a drunk driver.
ReplyDeleteThey are swerving all over-I think they do it on purpose AND because they are sick of nobody doing anything. Katrina has a better handle on it than YOUR "very reliable" source. You're dead on about the "contractor", too! "don't believe everything those suits tell you" is GREAT advice. C'mon, DJ-Don't listen to them if they are on council. They are just looking after their own butts! I REALLY DISLIKE LIARS-VOTE THEM OUT! PS already been problems with "contractors" and some of the work on the new school. Those people that wouldn't go for it, have not been asked back to Arcanum job site!
