Dayton Ambassadors to Perform at Pitsburg Church of the Brethren

The Dayton Ambassadors will be in concert at the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 6 PM. The church is located at the west end of Pitsburg, OH, at 8376 Pitsburg-Laura Road. The public is warmly invited to come and hear this fantastic group of individuals sing praises to God.

The Dayton Ambassadors began singing southern gospel music throughout the Miami Valley area in 1967, and one original member is still with the group as it exists today.

Over the years the group has often been referred to as the singing policemen. Currently, two of the vocalists and one of the group’s musicians are retired from law enforcement agencies.

The fact that this group hails from the Dayton, Ohio area will be apparent to most. However, the Quartet's name actually originates from II Corinthians 5:20. "We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." The Dayton Ambassadors sole purpose is to appeal to humanity to receive the love that Christ freely offers and through him, be reconciled to God.

The Dayton Ambassadors include:
Wade Lawson, Lead / Tom Lawson, Bass / Michael Ankney, Tenor / Kent Waller, Baritone
Tony Rankin, Pedal Steel Guitar / JB King, Rhythm Guitar / Emily Lawson, Piano
Joe Lawson, Bass Guitar
