Ohio’s 8th Congressional District is one of the largest agricultural districts in the Buckeye State. It boasts more than 5,400 farms, growing grains, produce and raising livestock on nearly 1 million acres. Each year, Speaker John Boehner hosts a Farm Forum to bring together experts from different sectors of the agriculture community for a discussion of issues impacting this vital industry.
The 2014 8th District Farm Forum was held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Edison Community College in Piqua.
This year’s panel focused on the 2014 farm bill and how important reforms in the bill will help Ohio’s agriculture community.
