GREENVILLE TRANSIT SYSTEM FEATURED RIDER OF THE MONTH

Greenville Transit System moves a lot of people all over the city of Greenville seven days a week. Some ride for a short time while recuperating from an injury or illness, some ride for longer periods of time. Such is the case for Patty Jett. Patty lives in Greenville and works at Walmart. She has been riding Greenville Transit since it was started as a “taxi” in Greenville. She estimates she has ridden since the age of 25. Patty rides the transit to get to and from work, church and medical appointments.

Her hobbies are gardening and when asked for her comments on the transit she said “the Greenville Transit has great drivers, provides a very needed service, and she and a lot of other people would be lost without it”. I guess that says it all!

Greenville Transit System is operated for the city by MV Transportation. They employ around 18 people and most of the drivers have been with the transit system for over five years or more!
